• 1 cup of whole milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups of low fat Vanilla yoghurt (I used Jalna)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 3 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • Extra cinnamon & pecans (to serve)


  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk the milk and sugar until the sugar is dissolved
  2. Sit in the cream, yoghurt and vanilla
  3. Pour the mixture into the freezing bowl and mix until thickened (20-25 minutes)
  4. As it starts to look like it's done, add the cinnamon for the last 2 minutes of churning until it's mixed through
  5. Freeze in your Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker for at least 2 hours before serving
  6. Serve with pecans, extra cinnamon & if you're feeling indulgent - some pure maple syrup!

Makes approx. 2 litres of ice cream
