Tools -

 

  • Gum paste if you don't have any use fondant mixed with tylose (can be found in Matchbox stores)
  • 24" wire (can be found at many cake decorating stores)
  • Gold stamens (can be found at many cake decorating stores)
  • Mini cake 
  • Fondant coloured to your choice (can be found in Matchbox stores)
  • Moulds of your choice
  • Peony cutters  (can be found at many cake decorating stores)
  • Floral tape (can be found at many cake decorating stores)

 

 Steps -

1. Cover your mini cake with fondant

2. Roll out thin gum paste or fondant mixed with tylose and cut out using peony cutters

3. Cut out 4 using the small peony cutter

4. Cut out another 3 using the big peony cutter

5. Using the wire pierce it through the peony you just cut

6. Tighten the ends and let it dry for a day

7. Using the stamens wire it with tape to create a bunch

8. Now using the dried petals grab the small ones one by one and using the floral tape securing it by taping it

9. Repeat the same steps with larger petals

10. Input a hole into the mini cakes and place the peony in the centre

11. You will now have your mini cakes
